WHAT WE DO?

We Make Movies!

SWAMP helps its members make movies. We have meetings, workshops, and social events that are related to filmmaking and film appreciation. Projects are initiated independently and the clubs serves as a resource to provide technique instruction, weekend workshops, competitions, opportunities, & equipment.

Collaboration

Some of us are actors or writers, and others are directors or cinematographers or editors. Some of us just like being crew or being a part of the process. And some of us just like movies and the fun we have at the socials! Whether you're interested in going into the film industry or it's just a hobby, we would love to have you join.

Texas Film Festival

SWAMP has a committee designed to run and execute the vision for the annual Spring film festival in College Station-- Texas Film Festival! Come to a meeting to learn how you can get involved in this great community to bring independent film to the area & support the arts.

We Have Fun!

SWAMP has tons of opportunities to meet awesome people with diverse interests in movies and hang out in social settings. We throw parties, go out to eat after meetings, watch movies, and plan all kinds of interesting social activities to get to know each other. Come have fun with us!

Founded in 2000, SWAMP is an organization that brings screenwriters, actors, muscicians, directors, editors, and crew together to make movies!
